Assembled here are a bunch of sayings typical of the kinds of things you might hear expressed by people in everyday conversations.


Take a look at each saying and quickly make a guess as to which of the first five worldviews you think it represents. This will be great practice for you!



A word of caution: Some of these sayings might possibly fit into two or more categories.


  1. I'd rather be open to the wonder of Nature than have my mind closed by belief.
  2. Nature is God.
  3. The source of ideas on life after death is dreams, nothing more.

  43. Faith is a crutch for the weak.
  44. Faith in one God alone leads to intolerance, fanaticism, hatred and bigotry.
